Shopify powers our online-store by providing a secure gateway through which to make purchases.  GDPR-compliant features have been built into the platform thereby enabling me to offer customers transparency into and control over their personal data, with the added assurance that it will be protected across borders.

As customers browse, Shopify automatically collects certain information from the device used, including information about the web browser, IP address and time-zone, plus some of the cookies and tracking technologies that may be installed on the device.  It also notes which individual web pages or products are viewed, and what websites or search terms referred customers to the site.  This is called "Device Information".  Such information can be used to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular IP addresses)  but more usually to improve and optimise the functioning of

When purchases are made (or attempted) from, Shopify will request certain information from customers, including name, billing and shipping addresses, payment information, email address and phone number.  We refer to this as "Order Information".  This information is used to fulfil orders (including processing payment, arranging for shipping and providing invoices and/or order confirmations)  In addition we use it to communicate with our customers and to screen orders for potential risk or fraud

Personal Data relates to both Device and Order Information.  You can read more about how Shopify uses your Personal Data here.

Paypal manages the financial transactions of purchases through, either from purchases of individual products or design commissions. I believe they currently provide the best financial security and privacy for both my customers and myself.  Although the personal details provided generally confirm that which I have already collected, only Paypal has access to specific payment information, such as card details.  To read more about  how Paypal uses and protects both Personal and Financial information click here.

In addition, I use Google Analytics to help me understand how customers interact with  (To read more about how Google uses Personal Information follow the link here.  To opt-out of Google Analytics click here.)

Customers who are European residents have the right to access the personal information I may hold about them and to request that their personal information be corrected, updated or deleted.  Should you wish to exercise this right, please contact me through the contact information listed below.  Please note also that during individual transactions data will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

I always try hard to make it clear what I am doing and what communications will be sent.  Customers always have a right at any time to change their mind and opt-out.  The easiest way is to use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email communication or simply contact me to let me know.
